there's one thing kexin beats me at, and that's being maluated in front of fellow softballers! she can do this really well, but i shan't elaborate :p
it seems like EVERYTIME we walk out of the ri/rj gate, sth bad happens. and its usually sth embarrassing. THEREFORE we shall KEEP QUIET when we walk out of that gate from now on, in order to retain our pride. *breathes in and looks upwards* :D:D:D
oh yar actually i did lots of stupid stuff yesterday which made me -throw face-. but guess i was too pissed to narrate it in yesterday's post. for one, i was doing the knee-pitching thing with flea when some badminton player guy came out of the hall. heard that bmt players' coach was damn niao, seniors tried to enter the hall and he screamed, "DON'T OPEN THE DOOR!" cos apparently it distracts the players. wtf. if u scared distraction then get them to wear caps like softballers lah. even tho they play in the hall. you think we don't have to use toilet isit? you think we play in the sun not distracting isit?? try catching a flyball at noon! anyway, i had this sudden dislike for badminton players then. so when that person came out and drank from the watercooler i was facing towards, i
continued pitching, albeit at a slower pace. i was hoping that the ball would hit him lol. he even turned around while drinking to look at my pitching. then i rmb thinking,
eh this face looks kindof familiar. but dint care la. just continued. then he moved away, and i pitched a ball. shit. it hit the watercooler button and that damned button (the button is screwed; once you press it hard it starts vibrating and water continues flowing out even if u remove your finger) started its stupid vibration. wah damn noisy. and water started spewing out from all openings (there's more than one cos for some reason the tap has cracks) and that badminton player walked back to make it right. he looked kindof amused. then flea gave me this weird look.
that person was no badminton player. it was the j1 hongshen. WTFF.wanted to kill myself lol. he's a div's most proded softballer and i actually almost pitched at him. not to mention tt i couldn't recognise his face. wtf damn malu!!!!!!!11!2233 PLUS the watercooler thing. shit man, he had to stop the splashing for me. PLUS lousy pitching.
wow great. GREAT. JUST GREAT.
onto more serious matters, pitching kindof improved today. i know the strike counts weren't high, but they definitely increased. at least i had better control of the ball, and not like the past training sessions... no point talking about them now. from now on i shall follow kexin's striking method:
just concentrate on the glove and the ball will travel in. gotta relax yet rmb to flick. now my aim is
those two magic digits. if i can make that mark on monday, i'll be very glad. cosi know for one that at my current stage, hitting like say, 30 strikes is impossible. i will improve bit by bit every training; coach's words yesterday, tho harsh, make ALOT of sense and are actually very inspirational. doesn't sound any bit like me, but yeah. btw, if i haven't said this before, i shall say it now:
COACH ROCKS.rg training today was fun fun fun :D did the five-spot thing, push-ups, squats, some pushing thing (to train up biceps i think) and running. coach was actually going kindof easy on us. 15 squats?? the five-spot thing was tiring tho, couldn't jump properly at my last few and i couldn't jump around properly. kept landing in the centre facing
diagonally right. urgh. but i managed to jump high lol, meaning if i were to jump on the field, the marks i'd be leaving are not gonna be 'X'-shaped but more decently, in the shape of five individual spots. (: haha and OF COURSE i died for push-ups.
the running thing was da bomb, coach divided us into two teams and made us face opposite directions right smack in the centre of the track. the straight part. we were supposed to run in opposite directions around the track until we're back at our teams, and then we tap the last person who will tap the second last and so on... until the second taps the first and the first person takes off). run, not jog lol. when it came to my turn my team was kindof leading already so i was thinking
i'm gonna die halfway, but it won't affect the overall performance cos leading liao. ^^ had a bigger lead in the end. when i met kexin (who was running opposite me) i raised my hand for her to high-five then she dint! -_- make me feel so extra.
another reason why coach rocks. after ri training he drove past kexin flea and i who were on our way back from buying drinks and he stopped his car so we thought he wanted to give us a lift to outside ri lol. after that he opened the door and started rearranging stuff in the back seat so we really thought he let us lombang his car ^^ but no, haha, he opened this box and it was full of booklets with softball pics and the words "softball and baseball club" on the cover. ahhhh we thought they were guidebooks to playing softball properly we were so happy then haha turned out to be notebooks. but still very nice. he gave us pitchers the choice of two covers we all picked the same one (: this notebook is wen nuan pai, if i'm not wrong it was designed by chiangmai uni. thailand is zai at softball hm. anyway it was a gift from coach! and we reserved two for liying and mok, our regular catchers<3.loads>man, you guys! kept some for other softballers too, but they don't have a choice of cover :p hm apparently his guys are selling for $1.20. anyway, sth extremely hilarious happened on the way home. lol psycho.
to sum up, today's my first step in proper pitching training. step by step, step by step, i
will increase my strike count.
but for now, i need my REST. zzZ night.
